Sajjad,
I have the same feelings about algae. I encourage algae to grow in my
darter tank, to improve the fishes colours. I would normally let the algae
grow naturally, but this time the algae(or what ever it may be) is
interfering with the fishes feeding habits, and is attacking the plants
growing with it. Do you know of any way that I could encourage algae to grow
on rocks in a larger aquarium? The greenside darters like greenery, and I
have witnessed countless times the greensides and rainbow darters actually
eating and digesting the algae strands, especially around breeding season to
improve their color. Maybe others have encountered this. But, anyways thanks
for your information as well on the algae, it is always appreciated! __Dan
