Re: NANFA-- shipping problems

USPS Shipping has been erratic. Some stuff arrives quickly; some 2-3 day
"priority" mail has taken a week. Apparently no problems from irradiation,
and I attribute the delivery times more to volume than anything else. My
local post office has said nothing about my packages although they know I
ship and receive fish; most of my packages are simply marked "Keep from
extreme temperatures".

I will probably use Airborne Express more in the future, although it is a
bit higher. These people have been VERY helpful - they called me one evening
because a package was leaking so I could come up there and repack it - I
don't see USPS doing that! Also, in my particular case, the AE office is
nearby so when I receive pkgs I ask the sender to simply send it to the
local office instead of my home. I can then pick it up from the nice warm
office instead of having it bounce around in a cold delivery truck for a
while first. Also, AE will set up an account for you so you can pay at the
end of the month.
