Since I am a sturgeon nut as some people are killifish nuts or catfish nuts
saving these tiny sturgeon would be a dream come true. They are indeed a hold
over from a time when sturgeons occupied much more habitat than they do now.
While I was using these sturgeon as an example of a worthwhile exotic to save
by introduction into North American waters. I would be willing to really try
to save these two species if I could get enough people on board the concept.
These fish are really rare anything but an all out effort to save them would
be a waste of an already rare fish. We would need to convince Cites that we
had someone with the expertise to breed these sturgeon, have an approved
habitat ready, not to mention get as many important people in our corner as
possible. I don't even know if we're influential enough to pull this off just
from a political stand point much less from a practical stand point. Here is
