I guess I stand corrected. This refreshes my memory some, and yes , that was
the instance. The guy figured he went through so much he deserved to keep
the fish. I don't blame him. Depending on where it was , there are many
regulations in regards to musky. They have much stricter regulations than
northern pike, and are treated more as a trophy fishery. The biggest problem
is that the only legal way to catch a musky is on hook and line. That in
itself makes the method of what probably qualified as catching it by hand
illegal. It was likely season, since it was warm enough to be dragging feet
in the water. That is irrelevant considering it was not hook and line.
