Anti fur, anti trapping sentiments have not helped eleviate the problem. If
you are in the area you can donate your used Christmas tree for help
building erosion control brush piles in the marshes. I am not sure where
they are taking the donations, but listen to WWL 870 am radio Thurdsday
nights from 9 to 10 pm and again on 5 to 6 am Saturday mornings central time
for more information on the Don Dubuc outdoor show. Many people are working
on devising nutria products to help spur the harvest of this animal, in
hopes that will drive more people to take them out of the system. I here
sausage, jerky and other products are being marketed and are quite tasty.
