Just for the heck of it, I place a willow branch in my
55. It has been 2 weeks, and it is putting out roots.
(Hi, Moon)

Any idea how long it can survive like this? only 3
inches of a yard long branch are in the water. It is
in a high flow area of the tank, near the filters, so
the water is pretty well areated.

No new leaves as yet, but the buds are showing growth.

The branch was collected from a deralic parking lot.

I have a few of the smaller side branches, about the
thickness of the lead in a pencil, in the slots of my
filter, and they are putting out roots as well.
