I've been meaning to comment on this one for a while. I think this
demonstates very persuasively how NANFA should try to implement native fish
education starting at the schools. With all the help those kids got from
various establishments and the success and federal protection status they
wound up with, schools would seem to be one of the quickest and most direct
routes to achieving our conservation goals and turning back the decline of
our native fishes and their habitats, especially if we combine education with
an eventual restoration project if possible (citing the success of Treasure
Mountain Middle School to whatever school administrations we end up dealing
with).
