I used to just use the cool whites, because they were the cheapes that
still had the 40 watts rather than the new super cheap 25 watt bulbs.
Then someone on the Aquatic plant list suggested I try the
kitchen/bathroom lights also. I tried them and noticed improved plant
color and growth so switched them all to both. The kitchen/bathroom
lights are kind of pink in color and seem to promote more reds in the
plants.
