As I kid, I kept meadowlands mummichog in freshwater without any problem.
More recently, I kept some mummichog that I bought at a bait store in
Annapolis for awhile, until they came down with a worm infection I couldn't
treat. I'd recommend adding some rift lake salt to the water though--they
won't do well at a low pH. Or maybe a half teaspoon per gallon of marine
salt. (That will also harden your water and keep it at a high pH.
