Oh my. And I thought the designation between the State "x" and the
State Wild "x" was bad....

In 1997, Missouri's governor declared the paddlefish as the state's
official
aquatic animal.

In an act of political compromise to the aquaculture industry,
farm-raised
catfish was named the official state fish.
