I didn't see that, but I've seen the two that the Buffalo, NY, Zoo has. They
are disturbingly large and scary looking, more so than hellbenders here. The
keepers said that the male (1.6 m long) is especially aggressive. I know
that I've never been charged by a salamander, but that would happen with
these beasties.
