It has long been known, at least in these parts, that tornados will pick
up fish, frog, snake, chicken, cow...whatever. In parts of the midwest it
has rained these same critters in documented cases many times. A twister
will cross a river, lake or any body of water and suck up animals from the
water and hurl them many miles away.
