Some states and provinces require that only bait indigenous to the lake be
sold and used. Hard to enforce, but a good idea. I particularly don't care
for the measuring method for selling Fundulus heteroclitus in New jersey - by
the packed volume - pint or quart can, not be the head or by the dozen. It
damages them a bit and makes them not as suitable for the aquarium.
