The surface area of a sphere is calculated as: 4*Pi*R^2. The diameter of
Jupiter is 85,000 miles and Earth is 7,600 miles, so the surface area of
Jupiter is 15,472,988,000 sq miles, 125 times that of the Earth's
123,700,000 (assuming I did the math right). If we had ended up on Jupiter
instead, we wouldn't be having nearly the environmental problems we're
having on Earth! (yet...)

So let's enjoy the natural beauty of this little planet while we can. And
perhaps we can share our feelings and observations with each other, and
everyone else can accept them as we careen through space together in this
brief flicker of a candlelight in time. As for me, I'm just itching to hit
the water tomorrow with my brand new his-n-hers kayaks here on the best
place in the Milky Way Galaxy.
