Jamie,

I use a 4X4 seine and that works fairly well in small or muddy water. I've
had good luck working riffles with a dip net in one hand and my other hand
lifting up the rocks. My favorite way to collect though is to snorkel and
use a couple of small aquarium dip nets to catch the fish.
