I had them in my pond with temps. from the high to the middle 30's and
they survived quite well. I also had some in a 45 gal. cube on my patio
under the same conditions and they had no problems as well. The
temperatures in the lake do not get that low and that is where I caught
them. They are quite pretty and breed like crazy.

I think the Texas Blue Cichlid is a sub species of the
cyanoguttatum....however
I could be mistaken.
