Hello all,

Here is a reminder of the first meeting of 2003 for NANFA New England.

Sunday, January 26th, 2003
1:00 p.m.
Bristol County Natural History Center
Dighton, MA

The meeting will consist of the usual round-table type discussion of who's
who (especially for new members/visitors) and what their fish related
interests are. NANFA member Brian Bastarache is working on a speaker for the
meeting (still not to sure who or what). Coffee, snacks, door prizes.
After a slow 2002 (a new kid will do that to you!!!) we plan on getting
even more active in 2003! We will also be talking about the herring
monitoring plan for the Palmer River. I have been put in charge of the
fishery monitoring portion of the project, this will involve daily visits to
the Palmer River (Shad Factory Fish Ladder) to make visual counts of herring,
lampreys, and other species using the ladder. We will be holding a training
session sometime soon for interested parties.

If you have any questions regarding the meeting, e-mail me or Brian.

Thanks, Rick.
