Yep, you could be dead right. ;)

When younger, but just as foolish, set off with two other great pretenders
in a canoe on the Kishwakee river out of DeKalb, Illinois. Boy did the
barbed wire somebody stretched across the river surprise us!

Somebody will have the designation for rivers one can properly canoe in and
rivers one shouldn't canoe in. We developed a couple too. :)

On the other hand, had a wonderful time on a float trip on the Fox river.
Had to push the spawning carp aside in a shallow run. We landed and loaded
up before the next dam came up. And I read that "they" have cleaned that
river up quite a bit since then.

Is there a Net site or a book listing rivers where canoe expeditions are ok?
