Glaciation kept em outta every place but a TINY corner of alaska naturally. so
that can hold true for anywhere. depth, temp, substrate, cover, forage, etc
one could go on, all could limit pike. they might not have enough spawning
areas to sustain a large population. they are very territorial fish and when
you think of it are in a much less dense population than other fish. farther
north you get slower the growing season too.
