Plenums are for people who like to tinker with things much the same way some
people who have reef tanks have to have all the latest gadgets. Plenums are
far inferior to deep sand beds and deep sand beds are much easier to keep.
You'll never see a plenum in the ocean or in a river, not even anything that
equates to a plenum. It's an interesting concept, I've tried them but I could see no
real difference or value in them. but that's just my opinion, your mileage
may vary.
