Yeah, up in eastern Tennessee and the Smokies in North Carolina a large
stoneroller ("hornyhead") is considered superior eating. Local people
confound state fisheries officials by throwing back (stocked) trout when
they're caught, because hornyheads are so clearly superior. Somebody has it
right, I'm happy to report.
