No one being burned alive agrees that all is fair in war :-) Much of the
North just like the South is proud of its war heroes. Columbus named its
hocky team the Blue Jackets, and even though the mascot is a hornet, the
name came from its Civil War history.
Not too far away from Lancaster is a statue of General Sheridan in the town
of Somerset. When I was a kid we would drive from Pittsburgh to southern
Ohio once or twice a year and we would always go through Sheridan. His
statue was of him on a horse, but I don't remember if none, one or two of
the horse's feet were off the ground. So I don't know if he died from
battle. You guys know the statue-battle death connection I'm referring to?
If it's true it's neat.
