Just a little curious as to why people would be interested in keeping
paddlefish and sturgeon. I agree they are fascination fish, but how does
one plan on keeping an animal that can feasibly exceed 5 feet and weigh
over 100 lbs and live for well over 50 years? What kind of set up are you
guys planning on keeping them in? Not directing this at anyone
specifically but would't it be responsible for a hatchery not to let
offspring go to the "general public"? I have seen 4" paddlefish and
sturgeon sold at one of our local fish stores and I continue to scratch my
head as to why. I would have to believe that there would be close to a
100% mortality of these pet store animals within the first year. Go ahead,
let me have it!
