I was thinking it might just be a sport. I have seen them turn up in other
fish. No way for me to take a picture, if I ever catch one again.
Was that pond with the golden catfish tannin stained? I have noticed that
fish here from coffee colored water often get a nice golden color where they
normally are silver from clear of muddy water.
