I imagine you are already aware of this, but when I ship fish, I fill the
bags of fish about 2-3 times the height of the fish being shipped with water
and the rest of the way with oxygen. I have an oxygen canister that I bought
from a welding/gases commercial business and can get refilled whenever I run
out. Although I don't have 100% success, my ratios are pretty good in
general and definitely better than before I started filling the bags with O2.
Another sticking point that I think is very important is to not feed the
fish for 3-4 days before shipping. I sometimes neglect to adhere to this
point and have noticed the negative impact. Expecting that you already are
aware of these points of advice, I hope this information might be useful to
any fish-shipping novices on the list.
