After reading their recommendations fo poisoning the pond and replacing with new
stock every three generations or so - I'd pass on stocking them. I'd rather see a
body of water managed in a more sustainable fashion - perhaps slot limits or
selective return of exceptional specimens to the water to enhance natural panfish
populations than scrap a whole pond and start over.
Of course this might be appropriate for stocking pay lakes, but I'd rather catch
real bluegills and maybe someday a record breaking pumpkinseed!
