In yesterdays news was word of the capture of an alligator gar, all 6'9" of
fish, weighing in at 164 pounds!
It was captured by a group of inmates on the grounds (should I say swamp) of
the Louisiana State Pen. at Angola, Louisiana. It would have placed in the
top ten had it been caught by hook and line!
The resourceful inmates used hay-baling twine and pulled it from a flooded
drainage ditch and presented it to the warden.
I think I can smell some garfish balls cooking now...........
