'Tis true, in a pond in Crofton, MD. It's made headlines and the TV news
here in Baltimore. It's either a hobbyist release, or was dumped there when
a nearby pet shop went out of business.

Nope. A real snakehead, genus Channa. From China.

Bowfin have a bunch of colorful local names, dogfish being one of them.
