Sunday morning, Boise, Idaho:

Ten minutes ago my lone Black-striped Topminnow spent several minutes doing
something that could only have been spawning behavior! In among the plastic
plants, it was going forward and back repeatedly, at an angle with head up,
and strange quiverings of fins, etc. Once it brushed its anal area against a
leaf. I don't know if its a he or a she, but if I had a match for it, I think
this fish would be ready to go!

First time I've seen any of my natives in obvious spawing behavior. Pretty
exciting! Guess I'll have to aim in that direction in the future!
