My wife and I are heading to Colorado on the Sunday after the 4th of
July. On the way back to Illinois, we would like to do a little
collecting
nothing special
just get our feet wet to see what we
might find. We cannot collect very long because we will have the
"kids" with us and I do not want to leave the dog in the car for an
extended period of time or let him go for a swim. If anyone knows of
a good spot within 15 minutes of our proposed route and/or is
interested in pulling a seine with us, please let me know. I can
bring the necessary gear if you let me know before July 2nd
I have
everything except a CO collecting permit. Here are the times and
places:

Either late 10 July (Thursday) or early Fri 11 July (Friday) = leave
Colorado Springs for Lawrence, KS on either US Hwy 24 or US Hwy 40
(outside chance on US Hwy 36) through CO and KS.

12 July (Saturday) = stay in Lawrence (if anyone is interested, I can
see if my honey-holes have water).

13 July (Sunday) = leave Lawrence for Champaign on US Hwy 36 through
MO and I-72 through IL.
