Jeremy lied when he said it was his pond. It was a lake at a state park.
Some people that knew the truth tried to offer words of caution and
responsible behavior. Another person used the opportunity to make Jeremy
into some kind of persecuted hero. Jeremy wouldn't come clean, and it got
really stupid when he and that other person started name-calling and
insulting people personally. Then that other person took his mistruths to
another fish list where he had a more sympathetic but completely misinformed
audience. All this while a few people here were trying to have a discussion
about a potentially serious topic.
