NANFA-- Possible mudpuppies spawning

I set up four adult mudpuppies in a 125 about three months ago and today I
noticed two of them had set up house keeping together under a log in the tank.
No real signs of eggs yet but this is the most promising development I've seen
since I started keeping the little guys. Up to know they haven't had any use
for each other at all. I have been feeding them heavily on black worms, earth
worms and small crayfish. They are taking turns vibrating their tails at each
other and marching around the hole in the log like they are looking out for it.
I hope the little sausages with legs aren't trying to fool me but I am
excited. Five years of keeping these little guys may be paying off. One fly in the
ointment is a baby amphiuma I put in the tank when I first set it up with the
intent of removing the amphiuma later but I haven't seen him since day one so I
hope he doesn't interfere with the happy couple.
