I apologize if you thought I was referring to you. I was not.

Off-topic posts are not the problem. I think we should have the freedom and
flexibility to post off-topic information (e.g., natural history of
organisms other than fish, conservation issues, science education). This is
a discussion forum, after all.

What should not be posted are items that are "far afield," "inflammatory,"
or "offensive." They are unncessary and reflect poorly on all of us.
