Thanks for the question! I began by building the "Darter-Gators" with 1/8th"
mesh, but given your habitat ie: strong flow, knee-deep water, I'd suggest
going to a 3/16th" or maybe even 1/4" mesh which will take more depth and
also more fps of water pressure. I have the ability to custom make these
nets ala mesh size, etc. My main design considered only shallow, low fps
flow much like we have here in Louisiana, but I know that those Alabama
creeks and streams are sometimes "really-hauling", so my solution is to go
to a stronger PVC pipe and a larger mesh that can take the pressure. Tell me
and I'll build it for your application, my friend!
