well martin thank you. all the mississippi fish arrived super healthy and
full of energy. 2 each of cherryfin shiner, F. Olivacious, N. Bailey the
Rough Shiner, and the Red Shiner. ans some plants all well.

WANTED ADVICE ON GETTING THESE 4 FISH SPECIES TO SPAWN FOR ME THIS SUMMER.
MAYBE IN AN OUTDOOR POND. CAN I PUT THEM ALL TOGETHER. ( NOT WITH THE
PICKEREL. hehe. )

i immediately after putting the fish into a 100 gallon tank. they are all
together. i hope i can tell who is who. anyway i went and got some nice
daphnia to feed them along with fish food. they seem to really like the
daphnia. i guess they were hungry. they deserved a treat.

today i have 3 of my 4 small ponds with water. the water is a bit cold from
the well. the well water pumps up at about 54 F. so i have to wait a bit
for it to warm.

the 4th small pond has the pickerel in it but no spawning action. so I will
plan on cleaning out the pond real good. i put the pickerel in as soon as
the ice went out to hopefully simulate winter and get them to spawn. but
now i can remove all the fish and clean it and put the fish back in.

but i would like to add that fish ought to be shipped on monday. these were
shipped on tuesday and they arrived at 12:30 pm after the post office closed
on saturday. and the postal workers were real concerned and brought them
over to me immediately. they apparently get a delivery in every saturday
after closing as they then ship out their mail leaving town. when he came
up to my house smiling he said he thought they would all die by monday in
the post office. so I want all nanfa members to know that the postoffice in
small towns can be real good. its really the people and most people want to
be nice.
