For those of you coming to Huntsville--

Alabama fishing licenses can be purchased by phone as described in the link
below:
http://www.dcnr.state.al.us/agfd/fishlic.html. A 7-day out-of-state license
costs $11.

Or, the two most convenient stores to buy licenses near the UAH campus are:
Walmart, 6140 University Drive NW (Highway 72) (256) 837-7272, which is
about 3 miles west of the UAH campus.
Busters Bait & Tackle, 2902 Governors Drive SW, (256) 536-1564. Close to
campus but more of an adventure to find.

Feel free to bring whatever gear with you youre comfortable with for field
collecting. This includes snorkeling gear, we hope to be able to find
reasonably clear waters.

For those arriving at the Bevill Center Thursday evening, we'll have a
registration and greeting table set up in the lobby.

As a late-breaking change for the field trips, we'll be going to Shoal Creek
in Lauderdale County, AL, rather than to the Bankhead National Forest/Sipsey
River on Scott Mettee's advice. The trips to the Flint River and Paint Rock
River are still go, and probably also a trip to the upper tribs of the Black
Warrior River in Blount County. Stay tuned and hang loose...
