NANFA-- Fall AC to be mailed today

The Fall 2000 American Currents is scheduled to be mailed today. It should start
showing up in members' homes in a week or two, but may take as long as a
month to reach some areas. Here are some of the topics covered:

* Gar Gettin'
* rosy reds
* Olympic mudminnow
* freshwater mussels
* seines & seining
* Pacific salmon and wildlife
* razorback sucker
* lake lamprey
* milfoils
* the use of barley straw
* the Maryland Biological Stream Survey
* a fish that spawns in trees!

If you're not a member of NANFA but would like to receive this issue, please
send me your application now. We overprint each issue and they go to new members
on a first-come, first-serve basis. See for an application,
or send a check/money order in US funds to the address below. Annual dues are
$20 (US), $25 (Can. & Mex.), and $34 (all other countries).
