Vicksburg, Mississippi claims a similar role in history. The Biedenharn
Museum commemorates the place "where Coca-Cola was first bottled in 1894."

I do know that Pepsi Cola was of course bottled first in the South, right
here in good old NC, if fact my wife who is a Wilmington native say's it was
first bottled here in New Bern, North Carolina. Pepsi-Cola was first invented
by Caleb Bradham in his pharmacy in 1898.
