Traci- That smallie is just warming up! I speak from my own
experience.
Had a one fingerling smallmouth & a largemouth in my 120 gal years
back.
After a while (6-12 months?), a friend came over with over three
dozen
fathead minnows from the bait store. We were gonna sip a few beers
and watch the little, now 6", bass feed. He dumped the minnows in,
we
sat back, opened a few beers, looked up, and over three doz. minnows
were
gone! Total time - 45 seconds at the most. Each bass had its mouth
so jammed
full of fatheads, they couldn't close them. Then there was the time
we dumped
a dozen leeches in the tank.....
