Don't be too quick to rule out worms. While using a net in the local stream, a
sand and clay bottom (though more sand), I found worms in the net once I rinsed
the sand through the net. 4 sweeps of the net netted about 14 worms. These worms
were very pink but very similar to earthworms in appearance.
