It is very easy, particularly for me, to say "Just stop doing that!" We
are right. Biodiversity needs to be conserved over all else.
BUT...reality dictates that other course of action.

I also understand the automatic rejection of anything that isi forced upon
you...I'm a good one for that too. It is more productive in the end to work
WITH instead of against, and to educate as opposed to alienate. We do not
need to stop many activities, such as farming, just do them a little
differently. We need to remeber that if we want a problem solved we all
need to be part of the solution. It is not just for THOSE farmers to fix.
We may have to work and sacrifice a little too. We ALL need to be stewards
of the land.
