Hi...

please forgive this mass mailing....

I'd like to draw your attention to an interesting series of articles about
nitrogen pollution, by Tom Horton and Heather Dewar, that recently
appeared in the Baltimore Sun.

The articles can be found on-line at
http://www.sunspot.net/content/archive/story?section=archive&pagename=story&stor
yid=1150470208371

This is a remarkable series, published in a major newspaper. The problems
of over-fertilization that cause hypoxic zones in the Gulf of Mexico and
other coastal waters, loss of bay grasses, the fouling of streams and rivers
worldwide ... this information is reaching a wide range of people. I can
only hope that these articles will help, in some way, to form a more
environmentally-conscious society. Please pass this url on to anyone else
who may find it of interest.

cheers,
shireen
