If we can get a professionally tape produced by ourselves, and have ssomeone
narrate it with sound in docummentary form such as a Marty Stouffer program,
and also send it to the Discovery Channel for viewing along with a letter as
to why we believe this should be presented on their station.... I think they
just may air it!!!!... We have to emphasize the plight of our native fish
pops. right under our noses. Just the fact that this is so close to home,
and such an amazing fauna that is consistently ignored and neglected, may be
all the reason we need to emphasize. I could write just such a letter... It
really has to be compelling, and come from the heart. Perhaps this network
will then divert away from Austrailia or some other exotic location, for
just a moment and take a closer look at what we are losing here, that is
unique to only this "neck of the woods!!!" What do you think??? The
video has to be well done, and we need someone really good to narrate it...
Not James Earle Jones, but maybe someone in the group who knows what should
be emphasized in just such a program. NANFA has all the talent and resources
to do this on our own, and must understand that it will take a lot of
volunteering. I have many locations here that are excellent for filming as
well. I think we should explore the possibility of doing this video, and
sending it to PBS, ANIMAL PLANET, TTHE DISCOVERY CHANNEL, etc....... Rob C.
