BG are you talking about alligator snappers or common snapping turtles?
Alligator snappers do indeed catch live fish by the use if a lure shaped
tongue but I have seen common snappers crowding around the bodies of dead
pigs and other animals and feeding on them. My grandfather who was a native
American told me about finding bodies with snapping turtles and I have read
it in reasonably well documented books. I think we'll have to disagree on
this one.
