Your observations are the same as mine. They do get quite tame , and then
it is much easier to feed them frozen foods. Once they recognize something
as food, they will eat it even if it doesn't move. I have read so many
fish books that say they will eat flake food. These same books say black
banded sunfish are brackish fish and eat flake food as well, so consider the
source.
