that must really be something to weather a hurricane.
a friend of mine on st. thomas weathered one several years back... marilyn? (
I had lived w/ him and worked at his sign shop in consideration of moving my
family there several years ago ).
he spoke of him and his wife in a closet, praying for hours with their feet
against the door and the whole house shaking. after the storm everything green
was stripped. then it became fema blue tarp city. no water or power for
several weeks.
not quite paradise.
