Greetings... The wife and I are going to be making a camping/fall
colors/fishing trip here in a week and a half. We plan to stay entirely
within the Scioto River watershed, with only possible forays out into Ohio
Brush Creek or some of the headwaters running directly into the Ohio River
around Portsmouth.

Our first stop is going to be at the Scioto Trail State Park in Pike County,
just south of Chillicothe. I think Paint Creek is a good system... Looks
like Sunfish Creek down toward Waverly is good too.

Any one sampled this area before and have good parking locations / access
points advice? I'm not going to have the luxury of just driving around all
day to find them :)

I'd also like to access the Scioto directly. Was down that way a week ago
in the Big Darby area but we'll be much further south than that. I've got a
new way of photographing (fall streams are perrrrfect) and hope to run into
some of the more imperiled stuff. I got decent pics at the Darby, but would
like a more clear shot of spotted darter and a much larger tippecanoe would
be prime.

Thanks for any pointers! :)
Todd
