Killifishes is a catch-all term that refers to oviparous cyprinodontiform fishes which occur in several families throughout several continents.

In North America the most common and widespread killies are topminnows (family Fundulidae) and pupfishes (family Cyprinodontidae).

All North American freshwater fish families and their species -- including killies -- are listed here.
