I don't think anyone is trying to justify what they did. The fact is that
the press distorts the facts to make a better story (snakeheads being the
best example in recent memory).
Dave, I like your analogy. I just hope everyone feels that way when they get
a speeding ticket, dui, etc. 1 mph over the speed limit is illegal, and
warrants a ticket/fine. If everyone got the same punishment for the same
actions, people would not be so willing to cross the line.
