Peter,
=20
Here's some pictures of how I used a Rio 2100 and created a spray bar to =
achieve habitat partioning with "water current" as a resource. =20

I'll try and get some better photos of the actual hardware setup.. But =
it's pretty straight forward. =20
=20
The powerheads come with strainers to prevent stuff from getting sucked =
into the impellor chamber, but if you don't have one... You can =
generally improvise. One way to is to get a piece of pvc that fits the =
inlet (cpvc parts usually fits the smaller ones better) and then drill a =
series of holes in the pvc "riser" coming off the inlet. Most times, if =
you drill enough holes in the riser, you can get it to where there isn't =
any pressure on the holes, and it won't even clog with plant debris etc. =
=20
=20
Just drag the powerhead with you to the hardware store and build it =
right there in the isle :)

G'day folks

Have many folks added powerheads to tanks without attaching them to a
filter? I am thinking of doing this to provide current, but am =
wondering
what folks have put over the end to prevent fish from getting caught in
it?

Thanks
Peter
